The New (to us) Family Car
« on: January 21, 2012, 08:07:47 PM »
We have had a Suzuki XL-7 for the last six years as my wife's car, and once we got kids, the family car.

It's been a great little truck, never gave us a spot of trouble except for a bad wheel bearing that was replaced under warranty. But it's narrow for two kids under the age of two and their car seats and double stroller, so much so it rendered the third row useless. So today we got a new joint:

It came with factory navigation (which apparently is hard to find in this model year):

And rear-seat DVD for the kids (and moonroof, which Wifey had to have):

I feel like such a traitor though, because now we have us some VTAK!!!!

It's a 2005 Honda Odyssey EX-L, fully loaded, 70K miles, for $18K. Rides like a dream and has mad more room than the Suzuki did. Thanks for looking!

Dude, these Odysseys are nice. Awesome long trip cruisers. But if you plan on doing some work yourself in the future, like the brakes for example, nab yourself a nice 22mm impact socket. :)

I got a couple sets of impact sockets, short and long, so that's no big deal (I need an air compressor though) but IDK about doing much work under that hood, I'm sure I could do simple tune-up stuff, but it looks so much more daunting than, say, working on the G for instance. Hopefully by the time I need to do anything serious to it I'll be in a house with a garage (a must for me).
