History:
Bought the car back in 2004 at an auto auction for $500. I thought it was a pretty cool car. About two weeks later, the clutch went out. Replace the clutch via local shop and notice the water pump leaking, so I collect some cash to buy a water pump and timing kit. The week of planning to have the water pump/timing done...*BAM*...loss of power=Balance belt pop and took the engine with it, broken valves and one piston! After researching more on the car, only one year was that engine made and it was hard and expensive to find one. This guy at the shop said he find an engine in an early 95 model so I put money down on the engine, weeks went by and still no engine   ...Long story short, I hit his ass with a lawsuit, won the case, but still waiting for my settlement. My father and I tow the car to my parent's house and find another guy to do it. We find an engine from Utah and she was running again...A week prior to my move to Charlotte, the crank pulley separated and the drivebelt cause the timing to jump and bent all 16 valves. :violin: So I say "**** it", and decide to do a 4G67[G4CN] head swap (a la 1G head). While I was in Charlotte, I collected parts for the head swap...the starter failed, had to replace that...finally she started up again...but for only half an hour...I say to myself "Not again!". But after looking over the car,(Doing my time in Charlotte, it was hard driving nearly four hours to my parents' home and back; plus I wed in '07 and a son born in '08), found out the crank sensor took a shit so I rewire the 1G CAS to the crank. She runs strong, a little knocking untill I added some fresh 93 and octane booster. So...

Here it is in it's current state, not it's best but she runs. That's all I care about right now.
Idling/Low revs

Test Run

Just need to take care of a few things: brake light switch, motor mounts(2 out of 4 busted), fresh oil change, inspect plugs, sticky clutch pedal, check shift cables, tighten altenator belt, replace battery and battery terminals, and datalog in the spring. Maybe bring her to Charlotte in Late Spring/Early Summer.

I've seen 3 green GS's in louisville. two auto, one manual. in lexington there is a very beat up auto black one, and in richmond i saw a auto white one, and a green auto.

I really wouldn't mind tracking down a good condition gs, and make it my n/a daily driver. tint the windows, intake exhaust header, kyb gr2's and eibach pro kit... and some decent 16" wheels and be done. Maybe two pot brakes up front, stainless lines... and whenever the clutch went drop in a sprung 4 puck and a light flywheel, soft energy poly motor mount inserts and prothane suspension bushings.

OK ok... maybe I oughtta not get a gs daily.

Planning to do a 'budget' build:

Modified JDM cyclone intake
6G74 Diamante TB
OE 4-2-1 header(Spyder GS) w/megaphone collector
Eclipse GTS muffler
Resonator delete
modified OE Eclipse GST airbox
Ram air intake
Evo8 valve springs/retainers
FP2/FP1x cams
Adjustable cam gears
LSD

RVR ECU(socketed)
6G75 305cc injectors
6G75 COP
3G MAS

Diamante 2-pot calipers
2-pot rear calipers
8G rear upper control arms
3G rear sway bar
Front upper strut bar, front lower & rear lower tiebars
Skunk2 coilover sleeves w/KYB AGX struts

misc. stuff I can't think of right now.

That looks like a really good budget build from the list you have.

I myself is looking for a nice set of Evo 8 valvetrain...but no luck as of yet.

Looks like a damn nice budget build to me. You try sourcing out from 4-1 headers?

I haven't decide on exterior yet, debating on either a 7Gb front bumper and Type R lips or a VR4 front bumper with OE lip.

I will need one soon. Also, need to replace the hood. No CF, maybe OE but stock hood is so heavy. Any fiberglass available?

There isn't any FG hoods that I know of. I would go with a OEM CF.

May go with 16x7.5 or 17x8 rims...
Sidenote, spoke with Jon @ Deltacams about purchasing billets cams based on either HKS or Kelford. He spec'd my original GS cams, I'll post it if anyone is interest in them. Debating on either HKS272/264 or HKS 272/280 on OE Evo 8 beehive springs.

Yes it's a RVR ecu. I need a bloomslang by May if I want to log BOTH ecus in one day. I have to see if the pinout is the same, it would be the same as the 95-96 Euro NT Eclipse and Evo 3.

98+ Diamante 6G74 TB, modified JM Fabrication DSM TB flange, "hollow out" cyclone plenum with runners. :D
FYI, if anyone attemps to do this, PLEASE bore out the flange to the Diamante TB gasket and then weld it centered.
